Sata Hard Drive Not Recognized By Windows
Hi there!I recently re-installed windows on my 250 gb WD SATA hard drive. I had a 50 gb windows partition and the rest for files. First thing that happened was my system partition wouldn't boot and eventually chkdsk said that the mbr was unrecoverable. A friend recommended that i use a seperate parallel hard drive to load windows and then convert the disk to dynamic in disk management. Anyone have any luck at all getting any version of Linux to utilize the high speed mode of their USB 2.0 card?I have no problems with getting any of my USB stuff to work in Knoppix 3.4 or Debian or Mandrake 10.0. But all version are only using the USB in the slow mode (v1.1). It would be nice to get it to high speed. In Win2000 I get a huge speed increase. hello, i really need help, my cd drive is working absolutely fine in ms-dos, but when i try to use it in windows it does all sorts of things, sometimes it shows the cd as audio when it is not, other times it tells me that the cd drive is not functioning, and also sometimes it detects the cd, then when i look at the files on it they are a scrambled and have filenames like '??~???__~_???_~~'. i have tried reinstalling windows and updating drivers.. Hi all,I have some old soundcard: AudioExcel Theatre, PCI,5+1... and after installing winxp sp2, every time when i reboot, I have to enter safe mode and disable that soundcard because it wont boot. Then when winxp boot's, I need to enable that soundcard manualy to get sound working... Soundcard drivers are ok, and everything seems to be ok with card. Before sp2 everything was ok... And I doubt that there are some newer drivers on internet... So anyone had some idea how to solve this conflict

I recently updated my sound card driver CMI3738/C3DX PCI (C-media) and the update did not work out too well.I had backed up the old version of this sound card driver and reverted back to it after the update did not work out. Need Help Connecting To Trap17 Servers
Im new to trap17.com and im currently using ftp programs to connect to hosting companies but for some reason i cant connect to trap17 servers even though i though i know that the servers are NS1.TRAP17.COM and NS2.TRAP17.COM. Can anybody give me advice upon solutions upon how to connect to these servers or suggest any other ftp program other than cuteftp?
ive realised that i could overclock my computer my more than 400 mhz which save me like $600 instead of buying the latest release of cpu that people have dreamt about.... but buying a few fans and a few tips and tools from people ive manage to clock my comp faster and the the performance is obvious. the danger of overclocking is present but speding about $50 is worthwhile to get the best outta your comp
