The motherboard had a 24-pin socket but I didn't notice that the power supply had a 20-pin connector with an extra 4-pin to go with the 20-pin one. New System Shuts Down After Running About 1 Minute
I have a new ecs extreme motherboard with an apthlon 939 3000+ processor, with 512mb ram a new power supply and new hardrrive. I have a 128m AGP video card from a good machine. All of the itemes I am using have either come from a running system or have been tested in a working computer. My computer will turn on and I can get to cmos setup or to boot from cd, however, after about 1-2 minutes the system just shuts down.

What do you think the best cpu is? According to what i have tried and heard AMD is way more powerful than pentium. I heard that AMD gives you its full power for maximum efficiency while pentium gives you about 80%-89% full power. This is why for all of you that have AMDs you better have a huge fan for it or it will over heat.Has any one else found something odd about any cpu chips?

I've got a linksys wireless router (BEFW11S4 V4) that causes lots of packet drops when I used it wirelessly. I didn't realise that packet drop while surfing webpages until when I tried to play online games.I tried Warcraft III and it becomes super laggy. I have a friend who was playing warcraft III on his computer today, and the disc exploded in his cd rom drive. Actally it was the frozen throne cd, and it is original. I think the disc must have gotten pasteurized, Lol. The cd was out in the cold (+colder for being the frozen throne) and then he puts it in his drive and and I guess it got heat and Craack.! the thing cracked and even his mom who was downstairs or something heard it. Recently my DVD drive was playing everything, today i put a dvd disk in, it says nothing comes up with no auto play or nothing loads at all. so i go to my computer and load from there, it dont load. It says please insert disk... Im like WTF so i put a cd disk in and the same exact thing happened. i tried about 7 different disks including cd and dvd disks and burned ones too. Ok. I am using a Toshiba laptop with a Pentium 3.33 with HT and a 93 gig HDD and 512 Mb of memory....I would like to upgrade the memory. Would it be better if I were to get another 512 or a 1 gig? I have a problem with my computer. How come it's restarting on its own? When the electricity fluctuates, the computer restarts. So right now I am using the Lexmark x5470. I just printed 2 pages worth of colorful pages (starting at 100% full cartridge) and now it shows that I have 50% left of color ink!
